Manchester City Football Club are an English based football team who play their homes games at the City of Manchester Stadium.
The club has won numerous trophies in their history including 3 top flight league titles,5 FA Cups,2 League Cups and 1 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup.
The club won it's first top flight league title in 1937 but then had to wait another 31 years to win their next one,their last one came in 2012.
Their 5 FA Cup wins came in 1904, 1934, 1956, 1969 and 2011 with the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup coming in 1970.
In 2008 Manchester City were taken over by Abu Dhabi United Group which made the club a very powerful spending business,in 2009 the club hired Italian manager Roberto Mancini and this is when they started to see success on the pitch,the FA Cup was won in 2011 when they beat Stoke City 1-0 in the final,the following season the club won their third league title by beating fierce rivals Manchester United to the title on goal difference in what was arguably the best finish to a season ever,Manchester City needing a win were 2-1 down at home to QUeens Park Rangers going into injury time,two quick fire goals from Edin Dzeko and Sergio Aguero saw Manchester City finish as champions in an amazing end to a dramatic final day.
The following season the club never lived up to their previous heroics and Roberto Mancini was replaced by Chilean Manuel Pellegrini who is now trusted to take the club back to the summit of the English league.
