Everton Football Club are an English football team based in Liverpool,England

The club have won many trophies including 9 league titles,5 FA Cups,and 1 European Cup Winners' Cup

Everton share a fierce rivalry with close neighbours Liverpool which is named the Merseyside derby.

Everton's most successful period came in the 1980's when the club won 2 league titles,1 FA Cup and the European Cup Winners' Cup,during these times the club had many great players including,Andy Gray Neville Southall,Gary Lineker,Peter Reid and Graeme Sharp,the club however have struggled in recent times to win silverware with their last trophy coming way back in 1995 when they beat Manchester United at Wembley to lift the FA Cup.

In 2002 David Moyes took over as Everton manager and would be in charge for 11 years consistently finishing in the top half of the table while also bringing through talent such as Wayne Rooney,David Moyes made Everton very difficult to beat and turned their fortunes around after the club suffered relegation threatened seasons before he joined.

In 2013 David Moyes left the club to join Manchester United and Roberto Martinez is now in charge as he hopes to bring Everton some silverware.
